A brief historical abstract of the company Schunk Bahn- und Industrietechnik which is located to the north of the village Krofdorf- Gleiberg - 1957 Schunk & Ebe GmbH takes charge of the production of small brush holders of the company Doenges & Co.
- 1961 Schunk & Ebe GmbH acquires the industrial area for the new subsidiary KOLLEKTRA, Kollektorenfabrik GmbH
- 1969 Formation of the company Kollektra Metall & Kunststoff GmbH
- 1985 Formation of the company Schunk Metall & Kunststoff Werke
- 1985 Heid & Co in Neustadt is taken over
- 1986 The industrial park Wettenberg is founded to which belong 5 companies
- Schunk Metall- und Kunststoff GmbH
- Schunk Maschinen- und Anlagen GmbH
- Schunk Kommutatoren GmbH
- Ultraschalltechnik GmbH
- Schunk Electronic GmbH
- 1993 SMK Neustadt is integrated to SMK Wettenberg
